So today, or rather tonight after sundown, is the first day of Passover. Many Jewish families will be sitting down to their traditional first-night Seder … except mine that is. My family has always tried to make the holidays work for everyone. Whether it’s celebrating three times or having Seder on the third night. For us, it’s always been about being together.

Over the years that has become more difficult as each of us move, find jobs and start our own little families, but we still try to have some kind of celebration. This week our Seder will be on the third night. The day will be filled with cooking, family, friends, laughter and dogs … lots and lots of dogs.

As for tonight … work. Not the Passover I would have hoped for, but someone has to pay the bills!
